Home / Pricing
AIA separates the fee for the actual notarial act from the mobile professional service required to travel to the client and complete the appointment.
Mobile service begins at $45 and varies by service location. Notarial acts are charged separately at up to $10 per act in accordance with Alabama law.
AIA does not compete by being the cheapest provider. Pricing reflects professionalism, time, convenience, travel, vehicle cost, coordination, and the quality of the client experience. Mobile convenience should never cause AIA to lose money on an appointment.
A mobile notary appointment involves more than the few minutes spent completing a notarial certificate. It may include scheduling, preparation, travel, identity verification, appointment time, recordkeeping, and return travel. AIA structures pricing to provide professional mobile service while keeping costs clear before the appointment.
State-regulated notarial-act fees are kept clearly separate from AIA mobile, travel, and professional-service charges. Clients should understand what they are paying for before an appointment is confirmed.
The fee for the actual notarial act is governed by Alabama law and is separate from AIA’s mobile service.
These are starting mobile-service amounts, not guaranteed final totals. The exact quote is confirmed before AIA travels. Mileage is not calculated automatically.

Custom quote
Quoted based on travel, assignment type, timing, and whether the appointment can be completed professionally without AIA absorbing the trip cost.
A starting mobile price is not necessarily the final quote. Starting amounts cover the mobile professional service for a typical appointment. They are not a notarial fee and do not replace the notarial-act fee. The exact total is provided before AIA travels.
These are illustrative examples, not automatic quotes. They use the approved starting mobile fees plus the Alabama notarial-act fee of up to $10 per act. Your confirmed price may differ based on location, documents, timing, and coordination.
One notarial act at a home in the local Alabaster area.
Two separate notarial acts at an office during the workday.
A family coordinates a visit for an elderly resident. AIA does not automatically charge more because the signer is elderly or because the appointment occurs in senior living. The mobile fee follows the applicable travel zone.
Additional cost may apply only if the appointment actually requires unusual coordination, extended wait time, difficult access, substantially extended appointment time, or special timing. Those items are discussed before confirmation.
Several documents or signers during one coordinated visit.
Coordinated service-day or recurring relationship pricing may be available because several appointments can be handled efficiently during one visit. That is efficiency-based relationship pricing, not a generic discount.
Professional signing work is quoted separately from ordinary general-notary service. Title companies, lenders, signing services, attorneys, and professional partners receive a quote based on package size, printing, scanbacks, travel, timing, return or shipping requirements, and assignment complexity.
Most appointments fit the structure above. A few circumstances can affect the quote without turning the experience into a surcharge menu:
AIA can create a different service structure for organizations because one trip can often serve several people. This is efficiency-based relationship pricing, not cheap pricing, and it is not a promised discount.
Senior living communities, churches, businesses, nonprofits and community organizations, and professional partners.
Individual referral, coordinated appointment, multiple-appointment visit, scheduled service day, or a recurring relationship.
Each signer still completes their own notarial act under applicable requirements. The organization relationship does not change identity, willingness, or document boundaries.
The notarial-act fee covers the notarial act itself, subject to Alabama law. The mobile service fee covers the professional work of bringing AIA to you: scheduling, travel, vehicle cost, appointment time, and the client experience around the act.
No. Mobile travel is generally shared within a single appointment. Notarial-act fees are based on the acts actually performed.
Yes. Your complete price is confirmed before your appointment. No surprises when we arrive.
Notarial acts are based on what is actually performed. The mobile portion is generally one trip. Extended time or unusual coordination may affect the quote and would be discussed in advance.
AIA cannot guarantee that every requested notarization can be completed. If applicable requirements cannot be satisfied, the appointment may need to pause or end. Travel and mobile service already incurred may still apply when that was discussed as part of the confirmed arrangement.
They may be available depending on schedule. If timing is outside ordinary hours, that is discussed before the appointment is confirmed rather than added as a surprise at the table.
They are priced by location, travel, time, and the work required—not because the signer is a senior or a patient. Additional coordination is quoted only when it materially affects the visit.
Separately from general notary work. Professional signing assignments consider package size, printing, scanbacks, travel, return or shipping instructions, timing, and complexity.
Yes. A coordinated visit or service day can be more efficient than several separate trips. AIA may use a relationship structure for that work. It is not a promised discount.
Additional Alabama locations may be considered. Those appointments receive a custom quote based on travel and assignment requirements so mobile convenience does not cause AIA to lose money on the trip.
Tell AIA what you need and where you need it. Submitting a request does not confirm an appointment. Your complete price is confirmed before your appointment.
